RDT uses a multi-modal approach to streamline the transportation process.

Most companies that need to get cargo from one place to another have unique needs. Rapid Transport Deployment has multiple carriers and technologies that allow us to tailor a solution to your company’s needs.

Truckload

Truckload

Truckload shipments are hauled on trailers up to 53ft in length and shipments weighing up to 45,000 lbs. Full truckload shipments usually travel as the only shipment on a trailer and are delivered on the same trailer that picks them up. The proper selection of the right carriers on their best lanes can maximize hard and soft cost savings.

Depending on the freight and shippers needs, truckloads can be moved in enclosed Dry Van trailers, as well as open Flatbed trailers. Full truckload shipping is a truck that is dedicated and only carries freight from a single supplier.

Less Than Truckload

Less Than Truckload

Less-than-truckload or LTL shipments are used for the transportation of small freight or when freight doesn’t require the use of an entire trailer. This shipping method can be used when freight weighs between 150 and 15,000 pounds. This freight shares trailer space with cargo from different suppliers, although is a great way to minimize transportation costs.

LTL makes up for the majority of B2B shipments throughout the United States. Many carriers operate LTL networks that consist of multiple points of consolidation and deconsolidation to complete each shipment.

Oversized

Over-sized

The ability to carry a load that exceeds the per-axle limits, but not the overall weight limits. Examples include construction equipment, pre-built homes, containers, and other large industrial equipment.

Expedited

Expedited

If you ship freight, you know how it feels to be in a bind and need something delivered yesterday. With the new carrier driving time regulations and government mandates, it is becoming harder to get those rush items shipped. We have many options to meet your rush freight delivery requirements at a cost-effective price. Expedited shipments are often transported in cargo vans, box trucks, and trucks with team drivers.

Refrigerated (Reefer)

Refrigerated (Reefer)

An insulated, climate controlled and refrigerated trailer used to carry perishable items such as food or medical supplies.

Courier Vans

Courier Vans

A simple, enclosed non-climate controlled rectangular trailer that carries general cargo that does not require refrigeration. Usually loaded/unloaded through the rear doors.

Container Drayage

Container Drayage

Container drayage is the transport of containerized shipments. These shipments originate or conclude at port or rail terminals. Containerized shipments will move domestically via rail lines and/or move internationally to and from overseas.

Warehousing

We provide the ability for short- or long-term freight storage at warehouses nationwide.

Whether the purpose is strictly storage or storage plus order fulfillment, warehouses use specific elements that help manufacturers, distributors, and retailers monitor inventory and store it safely.

With warehousing, comes the ability for transloading. We have the capabilities to transload cargo from trailers or containers, palletize, label, and ship back out for final delivery.

We want to go to our client, find out what they want to accomplish and make that happen.
